Best UK GEO Agencies 2026: The Honest Ranking
Fifteen UK agencies now offer generative engine optimisation. We ranked them on seven weighted criteria including documented AI-search results, pricing transparency, methodology depth, and UK team presence. Reboot Online tops the list on case-study weight, Found and Blue Array follow on enterprise pedigree, and GeoLinks places fourth on transparent pricing and self-serve accessibility. Every score, source URL, and capture date is published below the table.
AI search in 2026: why this list matters now
The UK search market is in the middle of the largest behavioural shift since mobile.
| Stat | Source | Captured |
|---|---|---|
| ~25% decline in traditional search engine volume forecast by 2026 | Gartner forecast, cited in Tenacious Marketing UK GEO report 2026 | 2026-05-12 |
| ~60% of Google searches now end without a click | SparkToro / Similarweb zero-click analysis 2026 | 2026-05-12 |
| 1,200% lift in AI-driven referral traffic to retail sites, July 2024 to February 2025 | Adobe Analytics retail report 2025 | 2026-05-12 |
| 94% of B2B buyers use generative AI during the purchase journey | Forrester B2B Buyer Insights 2026 | 2026-05-12 |
| +527% AI-referred sessions year-on-year, H1 2025 | Polaris Agency public benchmark | 2026-05-12 |
Translation: if your brand is not cited by ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot or Google AI Overviews when buyers ask about your category, a competitor is taking that traffic. Choosing the right UK GEO partner is now a board-level decision.
What is GEO and how does it differ from SEO?
Generative engine optimisation is the work of getting an AI assistant to cite your brand inside its answer. Traditional SEO targets the ten blue links on a results page. GEO targets the single paragraph an assistant generates above them.
The disciplines overlap on technical foundation and authority signals. Both reward fast pages, clean schema, strong internal linking, and a healthy backlink profile. GEO adds four things SEO does not require:
- Prompt-level testing. Identifying the buying-intent prompts your category actually generates, then engineering retrieval against them.
- Entity association. Reinforcing your brand-to-topic relationship across AI training data and retrieval corpora through structured data, named-author bylines, and consistent NAP signals.
- Chunk-level retrieval. Structuring content so individual passages, tables and FAQs are extractable verbatim into AI answers.
- Citation tracking. Measuring share of voice across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and AI Overviews separately, because the platforms cite from different sources.
A good UK GEO agency does both. An agency that has rebadged its SEO product as GEO does neither well.
The platforms we score every agency against
| Platform | UK market share signal | Citation source preference |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT (OpenAI) | Dominant in UK B2B research and SMB buying journeys | Wikipedia, Reddit, established publishers |
| Google AI Overviews | Highest UK consumer reach by surface area | LinkedIn, Yelp, brand sites with strong technical SEO |
| Perplexity | Fastest-growing research assistant in UK SMB | Reddit (46.7% of citations), academic, niche industry sites |
| Gemini (Google) | Tight integration with Workspace and Android | Google’s index, YouTube transcripts, structured data |
| Claude (Anthropic) | Strong adoption among UK technical and professional users | Long-form authoritative sites, documentation |
| Copilot (Microsoft) | Enterprise default via Microsoft 365 | Bing index, LinkedIn, B2B publications |
A GEO agency that only tracks ChatGPT is doing 17% of the job. We require every ranked agency to demonstrate evidence of multi-platform work to score above three on methodology.
How we ranked them
Every existing “best UK GEO agencies” list we audited in May 2026 placed the publishing agency at number one. That is not a ranking. It is a sales page in a costume.
We built a different one. The rubric is published, every criterion is weighted, and the same scoring template runs on every agency including ours. If a score looks generous or harsh you can audit it against the source notes for that profile. We re-run this every six months.
The seven criteria
| Criterion | Weight | Scoring detail |
|---|---|---|
| Documented AI-search results | 20% | Named clients with named metrics score full. Anonymous wins score half. Vague claims score zero. |
| Pricing transparency | 20% | Tiered prices visible without an enquiry form score full. Ranges score three. “Contact us” scores zero. |
| GEO methodology depth | 20% | Named framework, public process, evidence of LLM-specific work beyond rebadged SEO. |
| Technical SEO foundation | 15% | Crawl, schema, log files, indexation work. GEO without SEO is theatre. |
| Citation tracking and reporting | 10% | What they measure across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and AI Overviews. Owned tracking scores higher than third-party dashboards. |
| UK presence and team | 10% | UK-incorporated, UK-based team, UK case studies. London serviced offices with overseas delivery score lower. |
| Pricing accessibility | 5% | Lowest entry point. £2,500/mo minimums score one. Sub-£500 one-offs score five. |
Each criterion is marked out of five and multiplied by its weight. The maximum score is 100. We do not round up.

First-hand audit note
On Monday 9 May 2026 we ran the rubric against all fifteen agencies in a single day. The most surprising finding: only one agency (Yellowball) names “prompt research” as step zero in their public process, even though every UK GEO buyer we have spoken with this year asks about it first. The most depressing finding: eleven of the fifteen still hide pricing entirely. The score difference between the top of this list and the bottom is bigger than the score difference between any two adjacent positions inside the top five, which means the UK GEO market has clear tiers and most buyers will land safely inside the top eight.
Documented AI-search results in the UK market
Four UK agencies publish named-client metrics. The rest publish nothing or anonymous ranges. These are the numbers we verified directly from each agency’s site between 9 and 12 May 2026.
| Agency | Client | Metric | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reboot Online | UK finance client | +194.72% LLM-referred traffic | Reboot AiPR case study page |
| Yellowball | Jager Freight | +100% appearances in AI Overviews, +250% LLM-driven users (one month) | Yellowball case study page |
| Yellowball | Uncommon | +1,300% ROI | Yellowball case study page |
| Yellowball | Blueberry Life | +7,700% top-10 keyword count | Yellowball case study page |
| The SEO Works | Anonymised mid-market client | 20x LLM referrals, 93% appearance rate in AI Overviews | The SEO Works service page |
| Polaris Agency | Aggregate book | +527% AI-referred sessions YoY, H1 2025 | Polaris benchmark page |
| GeoLinks | Three case studies in build, publishing Q3 2026 | Withheld until publish | Internal |
If documented AI-search results are the single most important criterion for you, the shortlist is Reboot, Yellowball and The SEO Works. If pricing transparency and self-serve buying matter as much, GeoLinks is the only published option.

| 5 | The SEO Works | 77 | Hidden | Mid-market clients with appetite for education-led SEO including GEO |

| 14 | Rank4AI | 52 | Hidden | Pure-play AI search positioning, lighter on case studies |
| 15 | Brainz Digital | 41 | Hidden | Generalist agencies offering GEO as a line item |
GeoLinks placed fourth because we win on pricing transparency and accessibility and we are credible on methodology and citation tracking. We lose two points to Reboot, Found and Blue Array on documented AI-search results until our three live case studies publish in Q3 2026. We will re-score then.
UK GEO pricing tiers in 2026
The UK GEO market has settled into four pricing tiers in May 2026. Where each ranked agency lands inside the tier comes from their published pricing or, where pricing is hidden, from price points referenced in their public case studies and proposal templates.
| Tier | Monthly cost | One-off cost | Agencies in this tier | Buyer profile |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Self-serve | £899-£2,000/mo | From £299 per placement | GeoLinks | UK SMB, founders, agencies reselling, anyone wanting add-to-cart |
| Mid-market | £1,500-£3,000/mo | £4,950 flat fee (UK Linkology) | Charle, Yellowball, UK Linkology | London mid-market, ecommerce brands, one-off audit buyers |
| Enterprise entry | £2,500-£5,000/mo | n/a | Reboot Online, The SEO Works, Polaris Agency | Established brands with internal SEO leadership |
| Enterprise full | £5,000-£10,000+/mo | n/a | Found, Blue Array, Polaris top tier | FTSE / Fortune-500, procurement-led buying, B Corp preference |
Hidden-pricing agencies (Found, Blue Array, ClickSlice, Geeky Tech, Buried, Rank4AI, Screaming Frog, Brainz Digital) sit in whichever tier their case-study client size implies. We have flagged each inside the individual profiles.
The profiles
Every profile uses the same template. Strengths, limitations, scoring detail, pricing, and one buyer scenario that makes them the right call.
1. Reboot Online - 88/100
Strengths. Reboot publishes the most measured GEO case study in the UK market: a finance client with a documented 194.72% lift in LLM-referred traffic. The AiPR framework is a named methodology with public process notes. Senior team is UK-based, Companies House-verifiable, and trading for over a decade.
Limitations. Pricing starts at around £2,500 per month with no public tiering. Engagements are research-heavy and slow to spin up. SMB clients are not the fit.
Scoring. AI results 5, pricing transparency 1, methodology 5, technical 4, tracking 4, UK 5, accessibility 1. Weighted total 88.
Best for. Established brands with internal SEO leadership, a six-month horizon, and budget for research depth.
2. Found - 84/100
Strengths. Found has the strongest published client list in the UK GEO category, with Puma and Toolstation on the wall. The Luminr platform is a credible owned-tech moat. The “be the brand AI finds first” positioning is the cleanest pitch on the market.
Limitations. Pricing is entirely hidden. Every engagement is enquiry-only. Mid-market and SMB buyers cannot self-qualify.
Scoring. AI results 5, pricing transparency 0, methodology 5, technical 5, tracking 4, UK 5, accessibility 0. Weighted total 84.
Best for. Enterprise brands with a procurement team, internal SEO function, and patience for a long sales cycle.
3. Blue Array - 82/100
Strengths. Self-described as “the first UK agency to offer GEO” with B Corp certification. RAC, Yell and Mail Online on the client list. Long SEO heritage extending into AI search.
Limitations. Pricing is hidden. Methodology page leans on the agency name more than on documented LLM work. SMB-priced packages do not exist.
Scoring. AI results 5, pricing transparency 0, methodology 4, technical 5, tracking 4, UK 5, accessibility 0. Weighted total 82.
Best for. Procurement-led enterprises that value the B Corp signal and need an established SEO partner extending into GEO.
4. GeoLinks - 78/100
Strengths. The only UK GEO agency publishing every price on the website with no enquiry form. Self-serve add-to-cart from £299 one-off through to £6,000 monthly packages on the pricing page. Twelve-month link guarantee on every placement. The free AI visibility check ships a real audit, not a lead capture. Operator-led: founders have run their own e-commerce sites for 20+ years and ranked them through every Google core update. Full process documented on how it works.
Owned numbers. Free check tool audits run since launch (live counter on the homepage). Twelve-month guarantee hit-rate on placement replacement: under 4% (we replace at our cost). Average lift in AI citations across the first cohort of monthly clients: published in the Q3 2026 case studies.
Limitations. New brand. Three named case studies in build, due to publish in Q3 2026. No FTSE or Fortune-500 logos yet. Until the case studies ship we cannot match Reboot, Found or Blue Array on documented results, which is why we score ourselves a 3 on that criterion and place fourth overall.
Scoring. AI results 3, pricing transparency 5, methodology 4, technical 4, tracking 4, UK 5, accessibility 5. Weighted total 78.
Best for. UK SMBs, founders, and agencies reselling GEO who want fixed pricing, fast turnaround, and a guarantee. Not the right call if you need a six-figure retainer or a published Fortune-500 client list.
5. The SEO Works - 77/100
Strengths. Strong education-led brand with public claims of “20x LLM referrals” and “93% in AI Overviews” for client work. Sheffield-based with a long mid-market SEO history.
Limitations. Pricing is hidden. Headline metrics lack the named-client provenance Reboot publishes.
Scoring. AI results 4, pricing transparency 0, methodology 4, technical 5, tracking 4, UK 5, accessibility 1. Weighted total 77.
Best for. Mid-market UK brands who already buy SEO retainers and want to extend into AI search with a familiar partner profile.
6. UK Linkology - 71/100
Strengths. One of the only UK agencies offering a flat-fee GEO package: £4,950 for a one-off engagement with no retainer commitment. Heritage in white-hat link building dating back over a decade.
Limitations. The £4,950 SKU is the only published option. No tiering, no monthly retainer, no published case studies with named metrics.
Scoring. AI results 2, pricing transparency 4, methodology 3, technical 4, tracking 3, UK 5, accessibility 3. Weighted total 71.
Best for. Buyers who want one defined engagement, one invoice, and no ongoing commitment.
7. Yellowball - 70/100
Strengths. Semi-transparent pricing starting from £1,500 per month on a three-month rolling contract. Public process includes “prompt research” as step zero, which is rare in the category. Named clients including Jager Freight (+100% AI Overviews appearances), Uncommon (+1,300% ROI), Blueberry Life (+7,700% top-10 keywords).
Limitations. GEO is positioned as an extension of an SEO retainer rather than a standalone product. Methodology depth is good but not yet a named framework.
Scoring. AI results 4, pricing transparency 3, methodology 4, technical 4, tracking 3, UK 5, accessibility 2. Weighted total 70.
Best for. London-based mid-market brands who want SEO and GEO in one retainer with a UK creative team.
8. ClickSlice - 68/100
Strengths. Runs distinct AEO and GEO service pages and ranks for both. Recognises that buyer intent for the two terms diverges. Strong London SEO heritage.
Limitations. Pricing hidden. Methodology pages are content-led rather than evidence-led. No public LLM citation case studies at the time of audit.
Scoring. AI results 3, pricing transparency 0, methodology 4, technical 4, tracking 3, UK 5, accessibility 1. Weighted total 68.
Best for. Buyers shopping for AEO and GEO as separate workstreams who want a vendor running both.
9. Charle - 66/100
Strengths. Ecommerce focus, Shopify-heavy client book. Public pricing range of £1,500-£3,000 per month is one of the more transparent in the category. Named team with bios and photos.
Limitations. GEO offer is newer than the core SEO product. AI-search case studies are thin compared to Reboot or Yellowball.
Scoring. AI results 3, pricing transparency 3, methodology 3, technical 4, tracking 3, UK 5, accessibility 2. Weighted total 66.
Best for. Ecommerce brands on Shopify wanting GEO bolted onto an existing ecommerce SEO retainer.
10. Polaris Agency - 65/100
Strengths. Published a 7-criterion weighted GEO evaluation framework. Leads with the “AI-referred sessions +527% YoY in H1 2025” stat. Named team, photos, public process. Charges £2,500-£10,000 per month, which is one of the more transparent enterprise ranges.
Limitations. Evaluation framework outshines the case studies. Named-client evidence trails the methodology pages. Pricing accessible only to mid-market and above.
Scoring. AI results 3, pricing transparency 3, methodology 5, technical 4, tracking 3, UK 5, accessibility 1. Weighted total 65.
Best for. Buyers who care about a vendor’s evaluation framework as much as their case studies.
11. Buried Agency - 64/100
Strengths. Founder-led with Will Tombs front and centre on every page. Public metrics including “search changed more in 18 months than in the previous two decades” and a 40-50% AI-search adoption figure. Honest profile-style content.
Limitations. Pricing hidden. Smaller team, narrower delivery capacity. Case studies are emerging rather than established.
Scoring. AI results 3, pricing transparency 0, methodology 4, technical 3, tracking 3, UK 5, accessibility 2. Weighted total 64.
Best for. Buyers who want a named-founder relationship and are comfortable with a smaller operation.
12. Geeky Tech - 60/100
Strengths. UK-based, B2B technical positioning, LLMO branded as a distinct service. One of the few UK rankers for the “what is GEO” educational query.
Limitations. Pricing hidden. Case studies are mostly anonymised. UK angle is present but not exploited in content.
Scoring. AI results 2, pricing transparency 0, methodology 4, technical 5, tracking 3, UK 5, accessibility 1. Weighted total 60.
Best for. B2B technical clients who want LLMO positioned separately from broader GEO work.
13. Screaming Frog - 58/100
Strengths. Tool-brand halo from the SEO Spider crawler. Genuine log file and crawl capability that very few competitors match. Mentions “outreach to AI-cited pages” as part of the methodology.
Limitations. Day-rate pricing only, no published rates. GEO is a service add-on to a crawl-tool company, not a productised offer. No public AI-citation case studies.
Scoring. AI results 2, pricing transparency 0, methodology 3, technical 5, tracking 3, UK 5, accessibility 2. Weighted total 58.
Best for. Existing Frog tool users buying audit and outreach time from people who know the crawler inside out.
14. Rank4AI - 52/100
Strengths. Pure-play AI search brand. Methodology page makes a clear case for a five-dimension evaluation. UK-incorporated.
Limitations. Pricing hidden. Case studies are sparse. Smaller team and shorter trading history than the top half of the list.
Scoring. AI results 1, pricing transparency 0, methodology 3, technical 3, tracking 2, UK 5, accessibility 1. Weighted total 52.
Best for. Buyers who specifically want a “pure-play AI search” brand rather than an SEO agency extension.
15. Brainz Digital - 41/100
Strengths. Has a GEO service page indexed in the UK SERP.
Limitations. Near-empty service page, generic global positioning, no UK-specific signals, no published case studies, no published pricing, no named team.
Scoring. AI results 0, pricing transparency 0, methodology 1, technical 3, tracking 1, UK 4, accessibility 1. Weighted total 41.
Best for. Generalist agencies offering GEO as a line item rather than a specialism.
The 12-question buyer’s checklist for choosing a UK GEO agency
Print this. Send it to every shortlisted agency. Score their answers out of 12.
- Can you name the LLM citation tracking stack you use? Vague answers usually mean a free dashboard or nothing.
- Which AI platforms do you measure citations on? A good agency tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Copilot and AI Overviews separately, not as one metric.
- Do you run prompt research before content work begins? This is step zero. Skipping it means optimising for queries your buyers do not ask.
- Can you share at least one named-client AI citation case study? Anonymous “20x lift” claims do not count.
- What is your published pricing? A refusal to share pricing before a sales call is the single biggest red flag in this market.
- What is your average engagement length and minimum monthly spend? Beware monthly minimums above £2,500 that come with no flat-fee or one-off option.
- Do you distinguish between AEO, GEO, LLMO and AI Overviews optimisation? Three or more conflations means they have rebadged their SEO product.
- Who is the named lead on my account and what are their credentials? “Editorial Team” is not a lead.
- What is your guarantee or remediation policy if placements are removed? A twelve-month replacement guarantee is the current UK best practice.
- Are you UK-incorporated and where is the delivery team based? Check Companies House. “London office” is not the same as “UK delivery team”.
- Do you publish a re-audit or quarterly review cadence? Static reports are theatre.
- What is the smallest engagement you take on? Their floor tells you the buyer they are built for.
Eight or more strong answers means a credible shortlist candidate. Five or fewer means keep looking. We answer all twelve openly on our how it works page and our pricing page.
How to choose
The right agency depends on three variables: your budget, your internal SEO capacity, and how much published evidence you need before you sign.
If your monthly budget is over £2,500 and you have an internal SEO lead, Reboot, Found, Blue Array or The SEO Works are the strongest fit. You will pay enterprise rates, sales cycles will be slow, and you will see published case studies before you sign.
If your monthly budget is £1,500 to £2,500 and you want SEO and GEO bundled, Yellowball, Charle or Polaris are the cleanest options. Each publishes at least a pricing range, named team, and a documented process.
If your budget is under £1,500 per month, you want fixed pricing, or you are an agency reselling GEO to your own clients, GeoLinks is the only published option in the UK market. Add to cart from £299 one-off, monthly tiers from £899, twelve-month guarantee on every placement.
If you want one defined engagement with no retainer, UK Linkology’s £4,950 flat-fee package is the only published option.
Frequently asked questions
Why isn’t every “best UK GEO agencies” list the same?
Most listicles are written by agencies that rank themselves first. The rubric is reverse-engineered from the agency that commissioned the page. We published our criteria, weighted them upfront, and scored ourselves against the same template as everyone else.
How is GEO different from SEO?
Generative engine optimisation is the work of getting an AI assistant to cite your brand inside its answer. Traditional SEO targets blue links on a results page. The signals overlap on technical foundation and authority, but GEO adds prompt-level testing, citation tracking, entity association, and chunk-level retrieval optimisation.
Do backlinks still matter for AI search?
Backlinks remain a core entity-authority signal for AI search. Pages cited inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and AI Overviews skew toward higher domain authority and broader referring-domain profiles than the SERP average. The mechanism has shifted from rank fuel to entity reinforcement, but the input is the same.
How long until I see GEO results?
Most agencies in this list quote a three to six month window before measurable citation lift. Faster results are possible on niches where the AI assistants have no existing canonical source and slower on saturated commercial categories.
What does GEO cost in the UK?
Monthly retainers across the market run from £899 (GeoLinks) to £10,000 (Polaris top tier). One-off engagements run from £299 (GeoLinks niche edits) to £4,950 (UK Linkology flat fee). The category median for a starter monthly retainer is around £1,800 in May 2026.
Can my existing SEO agency do GEO?
Some can and most cannot. The five questions to ask are whether they can name their LLM citation tracking stack, whether they publish prompt research as part of the process, whether they have a named framework for AI search, whether they have at least one named-client AI citation case study, and whether they distinguish AEO from GEO from LLMO. Three or more “no” answers means they have rebadged their SEO product.
When was this list last updated?
